部落格行銷洋基右投Phil Hughes

紐約時報今天刊載了Blog Helps a Yankee Connect With Fans這篇文章,以Phil Hughes(休斯)這位新生代洋基投手為範本,具體詳實報導了大聯盟球星如何藉由寫部落格來拉近與球迷之間的距離。

事實上,從今年一月才在Wordpress開始寫部落格的休斯,就連寫部落格也還是菜鳥一枚,但,由於夠勤快、夠投入,短短一個月間已經累積極驚人的流量:

Hughes has seen a lot on his Web site, philhughes.wordpress.com, since starting it Jan. 16. Through Monday afternoon, the site had attracted more than 340,000 visitors from six continents.

這篇報導也提到其他洋基球星,如:Derek Jeter、Alex Rodriguez和王建民,也都各擁有疏於更新的官方樣版部落格:

Other Yankees have official Web sites, including Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Chien-Ming Wang. Their sites are heavy on graphics and maintained through MLB.com. Jeter updated his journal four times in 2007, and Rodriguez once.

然而,部落格行銷本來就用來突破傳統行銷信度不足的僵局,相較於官方樣版部落格,休斯在Wordpress開設的活生生個人部落格,顯然是更強有力。

另外,稍早在台灣媒體也曾提及「休斯在個人部落格很講情義地擺了王建民官方部落格的連結」,藉由紐約時報的連結,果然發現就擺在Links的第一位,還真的是很講情義。
