一如往例，Pantone在歲末年終之際選出了明年（2013年）的年度色彩：Pantone 17-5641 Emerald（祖母綠）。
Pantone官網形容這是一種「朝氣蓬勃、充滿活力，優雅美麗且令人感受格外愉悅、均衡與和諧的色彩」。
"Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."
PANTONE 17-5641 Emerald, a lively, radiant, lush green, is the Color of the Year for 2013.
相較許多曖昧的色調，譬如星戰源起的Tatooine，Emerald這種用色顯得相對果決且行動力十足。
祖母綠既是一種寶石的色澤，同時也讓人聯想到植物、山與河、海、湖……等自然景緻。
Pantone選出這樣的年度色彩，會不會流行？不得而知，但，顏色本身確實具有相當趣味。
